Commercial EV charge point installation

Sales of electric vehicles have nearly tripled over the past four years.

Offices, factories, and other commercial facilities with high foot traffic should consider installing EV charging points to meet the needs of employees, visitors, and the general public.

Robert Moss

CEO - Moss Electrical

4th March 2024
There was such little disruption that we were quite frankly surprised when the team turned around and said that they were all done.

We couldn’t be happier with the process and are now saving £300,000 per year on our electricity costs.
We’d highly recommend considering commercial solar.

Why should businesses consider installing EV charging points?

There are several reasons why businesses of all types should consider investing in EV charging points.

Multiple stakeholders can benefit, and it’s important to recognise that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t apply. Additionally, intangible factors like brand image and reputation should be taken into account.

Meeting growing demand
As electric vehicle (EV) adoption continues to grow, businesses can attract and retain customers by providing convenient access to EV charging points.

Installing this infrastructure shows a commitment to sustainability and positions businesses as forward-thinking leaders in the transition to electric mobility.

Before long, workplace EV charging will be seen as a standard amenity.
Enhancing customer or employee satisfaction
Providing EV charging points adds value to customers, enhancing their experience and encouraging longer visits or extended stays. Subsidised charging for employees at the workplace can also be viewed as a significant perk.

Businesses can distinguish themselves from competitors by offering this convenient amenity that caters to the evolving preferences of environmentally-conscious consumers.
Attracting eco-conscious customers and employees
Businesses prioritising sustainability and environmental responsibility can appeal to an expanding group of eco-conscious consumers and employees who prefer supporting businesses that align with their values.

Installing EV charging points showcases a dedication to reducing carbon emissions and addressing environmental impact, which resonates strongly with environmentally-minded customers.

ThermoFisher cut energy costs by 15% without any upfront or ongoing costs

Custodian Capital are one of our repeat clients and partners. By installing an 830 kW solar system on one of their properties, they were able to pass on a 15% reduction in energy costs to ThermoFisher.

This is under a common arrangement called a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) whereby an asset manager will fund and maintain an installation under an agreement to sell the energy at a reduced rate to the property user.

£4.7m lifetime ROI
Over the system's 25 year lifetime, it will yield over £4.7m in savings for Custodian Capital.
Net zero
The installation is a significant step for Custodian Capital & ThermoFisher on their way to meet Net Zero targets.
