The installation will reduce ThermoFisher’s energy costs by 15% through a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) facilitated by Custodian Capital. Custodian Capital, who owns the property within which ThermoFisher operates, funded the system. This substantial reduction is a testament to the efficiency and effectiveness of the solar PV system designed and installed by Sustain Commercial Solar.
Energy Generation and Usage
The system is designed to meet a significant portion of the facility's annual energy demand, generating approximately 671,683 kWh in the first year. Despite an expected slight annual degradation, the system will continue to provide substantial energy savings and environmental benefits throughout its lifetime.

In the first year alone, Custodian Capital are expected to save £155,389. Over the system's lifetime, the cumulative savings are projected to reach an impressive £4,792,281. This financial benefit is coupled with an anticipated return on investment, including maintenance and operational costs, within approximately 3.97 years.
